How do I get started?

Can I import contacts and donations I already have?
Yes. Upload a CSV from whatever you're using: spreadsheets, VAN exports, whatever you've got. We'll map your columns, deduplicate contacts, and match donations to the right people automatically.
Do I need a technical person to run this?
No. If you can use a spreadsheet, you can use Recanvass. Drag volunteers across pipeline stages, manage events from a calendar or Kanban board, and track donations from a single dashboard. We built it for campaign managers and candidates, not IT departments.
Does it work with ActBlue?
Yes. Connect your ActBlue account once via webhooks and every donation flows in automatically, matched to the right contact, deduplicated, and recorded. No CSV exports, no manual imports, no lag.
Does this handle FEC or state compliance reporting?
We track every donation with the detail you need for compliance: amount, date, donor info, and payment method. But we're not a compliance filing tool and don't pretend to be. Work with a treasurer or compliance advisor for actual filings. We make their job easier, not redundant.
Can my whole team use it?
Yes. Invite your finance director, field organizer, and volunteers from your account settings. Everyone works from the same data, so call sheets, event RSVPs, and donation records stay in sync across the team.
What if I'm already using NGP VAN, NationBuilder, or something else?
Export your contacts and donations as a CSV and upload them. We handle column mapping, deduplication, and matching. Most campaigns are fully migrated within a single onboarding call.
